I'm back after a short holiday, a city break to Boston and what a lovely place this is, although as there was so much to see and do in the city, there wasn't enough time to make a day trip to see the fall - I'll have to appreciate Epping Forest instead!
Last week I joined media and tour operators at St Pancras International for a rendevous with the Ryder Cup trophy. It's now less than a year to go until the match is played at Le Golf National, just 21 miles from Paris, so this was an apt venue given Eurostar's high-speed train link. Eurostar took the opportunity to announce that it's now possible to take your clubs on board for free, giving golfers another travel option to France, either before, during, or after the big match.
I have enjoyed playing golf in France, but it's not as well-known for golf compared with other European destinations. However, one thing I didn't realise is that France has 600 golf courses, more than Spain and Portugal combined, so this country really isn't just about great food and wine!
Au revoir for now!
