Around the World and Back Again!
I feel as though I've been around the world and back over the last week or so, as not only have I been busy signing off the latest issue of Women & Golf magazine, but also a travel guide that will give you some great ideas for your next golf holiday - it goes on sale 16 October.
The last time I played golf was a couple of weeks ago when I attended a Your Golf Travel golf day at Buckinghamshire Golf Club, and it was a real treat for myself and the other ladies to play some golf with Charley Hull. I also thoroughly enjoyed being part of a panel discussing women's golf with Charley and Sky Sports presenter Henni Goya, hosted by radio and television presenter Georgie Bingham. We were asked a variety of questions and it was a shame that there wasn't more time to answer more, but it was packed schedule with a warm-up under Henni's guidance and a practice session on the range before heading out for 9-holes.
I was also discussing women's golf again for Private Radio Club, a station that broadcasts from Tampa, Florida. Gabe Aluisy was keen to hear about female golf participation in the UK, how the club member has changed and the subject that crops up all the time at club and tour level - the dress code! This was due to be broadcast last Monday but due to the atrocity in Las Vegas it has been rescheduled for tomorrow. This station attracts guests talking on a variety of subjects and it's worth taking a look, visit: www.privateclubradio.com.
Back to holidays, the Traveller has certainly whetted my appetite and two places that I would love to go are South Africa and Vietnam - hopefully I'll be able to tick at least one of the boxes soon!
