The Renaissance Club’s facilities offer the perfect platform for professional golfers to practice, train and wind down.

With five of the country’s best golfers as part of the club, members might find themselves rubbing shoulders with a tour player in their Saturday medal group. Among these is Stephen Gallacher, who will be defending the Dubai Desert Classic next year and going for three in a row. He was a Ryder Cup pick and proudly bears the TRC logo on his golf bag and practices on a regular basis at the club.

TRC are delighted to have donated all their old driving range balls to the Stephen Gallacher Foundation, an organisation Stephen developed to encourage and develop junior golfers in the Lothians and Borders area. A number of Stephen’s unaccompanied guests have had the opportunity to play the course, one of the great privileges of being a Renaissance Club member.

Another keen member of The Renaissance Club is Scott Jamieson who recently became a proud new father. He enjoys the Renaissance Club because it is a family friendly club, offering a quiet place to practice, whilst also welcoming ‘Buckley’ his dog, onto the course.

Like Gallacher and Jamieson, Richie Ramsay shines like a beacon for Scotland’s aspiring golfers to follow. Whilst he struggled with injury at start of year, he turned the season around to perform well at the end. Like Gallacher, Richie brings guests from around Scotland to the club and enjoys being part of the membership as well as a regular face in the dining area watching sports after a hard day practicing.

Marc Warren, the former golf world cup winner for Scotland - one day he will play TRC’s championship tees and the next the medal tees. He thinks the sauna, jacuzzi and steam rooms in each locker room are the perfect finish after a round of golf.

Lastly, Craig Lee visits the club regularly as part of his training schedule. Like his fellow members, he has won nationally as an amateur and made his way up the ranks to the European Tour. He is the perfect example of a player who has reached the 'Main Tour' by competing through the Tartan Tour and Challenge Tour.

Designed by world renowned golf course architect Tom Doak, The Renaissance Club is recognised as a modern masterpiece of golf course design that many aficionados and golf media insiders consider the future of links golf and a worthy descendant of its illustrious neighbours, Muirfield & North Berwick West Links. With a recently acquired triangular piece of Muirfield-owned land which Doak fashioned into three new holes and the club's recently completed three-storey clubhouse with accommodation, the showpiece is finally complete, creating a tournament quality venue and world class golfing experience which is attracting these numerous tour players and worldwide attention.

Doak has harnessed the rugged elegance of East Lothian's sweeping dunes into a truly phenomenal golfing challenge, perfectly suited to test any golfer, including the professionals, and is a challenging test from start to finish. The exceptional facilities of the club, including a magnificent practise area, have enticed the countries best players to become part of a continuously increasing membership.

Since opening in 2008, The Renaissance Club is still seeing a steady amount of members proposing new ‘prospectives’ to join the club whilst continues to receive a large amount of external interest. In a game where privacy puts you further up the ranks, the Renaissance Club has a modern day approach allowing everyone to come and experience their facilities through the 'One Time Experience'. This opportunity gives all those who love the game of golf the chance to experience what continues to entice new members.
