England’s Georgia Hall will make her professional golfing debut at the Ingarö Ladies Open hosted by Elin Emanuelsson in Stockholm, Sweden, on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) next week.

The 18-year-old from Bournemouth turned professional after finishing in a tie for 29th in the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Royal Birkdale and has received an invite to play in the three-day tournament, taking place from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9August, in which 120 players will compete.

“I played in the Gary Player Invitational at Wentworth but this will be my first proper tournament and I can’t wait!” said the Parkstone Golf Club player. “I would like to win it - It should be a good week!”

Hall, a member of the 2013 PING Junior Solheim Cup Team, capped her amateur career in May 2014 when she was selected for the Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup team and prior to playing in the Ricoh Women’s British Open, she tied for 33rd in the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters on the Ladies European Tour (LET).

“I really loved playing in the professional events as an amateur and it was a great experience. I enjoyed the British Open and I qualified this year by winning the British order of merit,” said Hall, who turned professional with a +3 handicap.

Hall, who enjoys going to the gym and shopping in her spare time, rates her 2013 victory at the Ladies’ British Amateur Championship at Machynys Peninsula Golf Club and finishing tied for 42nd as the joint leading amateur with Lydia Ko in the 2013 Ricoh Women’s British Open at St Andrews as the highlights of her amateur career. Now she is ready to tackle her first job, as a professional golfer.

“At the moment I’m just going to try to play my best in Sweden but I would love to get more invites to play on the Tour in future,” said Hall.

As a member of the LET Access Series, Hall will need to finish in the top five on the 2014 LETAS Order of Merit to earn an exemption to the LET for next season, but if she finishes in sixth to 20th position then she will be able to go to the final stage of qualifying school and skip the pre-qualifying event.
