Eleven-year-old Lucy Li has become the youngest player ever to qualify for the US Women's Open by shooting rounds of 74 and 68 on the par-72 Old Course at Half Moon Bay in California.

The child star will tee up against the biggest names in women’s golf next month after winning the California qualifier by a staggering seven shots.

Li gained her first fame last month when she became one of the first female  champions at the inaugural Drive, Chip and Putt contest at Augusta National  before the Masters.

The US Women’s Open will be played 19-22  June 19-22.
