Currently ranking 6th in the Rolex World Rankings, Feng is the first Chinese golf player to gain the full membership of LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) tour and the first Chinese major tournament winner.
To date, she is the only Chinese golf player who has full membership in three of the world’s top tours (Ladies Professional Golf Association, Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association, and Ladies European Tour) and she has won titles in all three tours. Feng has won titles at 10 professional golf tournaments, as well as one National Games Championship. She has been in the top 10 of the Rolex World Rankings for over 90 consecutive weeks; with a high of No. 3.
Feng said of the sponsorship, “It’s an honor to join the Buick family. As a leading automobile brand worldwide, Buick provides me with constant support wherever I go, which I appreciate very much. I’m extremely happy that Buick is focusing on the development of Chinese golf. With our joint efforts, I hope we can drive Chinese golf at full speed.”
Globally, Buick was the earliest sponsor of the PGA Tour. In China, Buick has consistently contributed to the development of Chinese golf. Buick has established a comprehensive strategy and long term plan for golf. Feng has become the latest golf player to be a Buick spokesperson, following Tiger Woods and Lianwei Zhang, once again demonstrating the solid association between the Buick brand and golf. The ideals of ‘moving forward’ and ‘self-challenge,’ which are important in golf, have become deeply embedded within Buick to generate the brand spirit of ‘Drive to Dream.’
Buick will act as her exclusive automobile sponsor in the 2014 season.
