England's teenage sensation Charley Hull is defending her maiden professional title at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Agadir, Morocco this week - where last year she won in a play-off against Gwladys Nocera.

The 19-year-old from Northamptonshire is looking for more success at Golf de l’Ocean in Agadir.

Hull said: “Last year I played great and it brings back a lot of great memories for me, especially because the year before I came second, so I think two good finishes in the last two years leads to me having quite high expectations this year. I’ve had four top 10s so far out of four tournaments, so I’m pretty happy with that, especially because I’ve changed my swing and changed my coach, so I’ve been working on a lot of stuff and I’m happy with that.”

Hull, who finished second at the RACV Ladies Masters in Australia in February, has been working on all aspects of her game with new coach Matt Belsham, who also coaches Oliver Fisher and Ryder Cup hero Jamie Donaldson and spent a windy Wednesday morning on the driving range, rather than taking her new swing onto the golf course.

She continued: “I’ve changed my swing because I wasn’t hitting it quite how I wanted to at the end of the year. In Dubai, I was quite happy with how I got round the golf course not hitting it 100 per cent so I thought it was time for a change and I’m happy with the way I’m hitting it now.”

As well as this week’s prize, Hull is already thinking ahead to the ANA Inspiration at Rancho Mirage in California, which is the year’s first major championship.

The final two rounds of the Lalla Meryem Cup will be televised live from 11:00-14:00 GMT over the weekend.
