GolfSixes Introduces Exciting World First

The innovative GolfSixes returns to Centurion Club in St Albans, from May 5-6, with a host of global European Tour winners including female professionals for the first time ever.

Now in it's second edition, the fast and fun six-hole format starts with teams split into four groups of four, similar to the UEFA Champions League football group stages, before the top two teams from each group progress to the knockout stages – the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, a 3rd/4th place play-off match and the final – all of which will be contested on Sunday May 6. In the group stages, three points will be given for victory with one point given for a draw, while the matches themselves will be played in a greensomes match play format.

The home nation will be represented by two teams this year with Eddie Pepperell and Matt Wallace joined by wildcard entries, Georgia Hall and Charley Hull, who team up in the first-ever England Women’s Team. They’re not the only women set to stick it to the men though as they’ll also be joined by the European Women’s Team’ of Norwegian Suzann Pettersen and England’s Mel Reid, another exciting wildcard team this year.

The 16-team field of the GolfSixes includes defending champions Denmark, plus a host of Tour winners from around the world.
