In what can only be described as a tantalizing finish for Ireland at the Espirto Santo Trophy, the team of Leona Maguire (Slieve Russell), Olivia Mehaffey (RCDL) and Annabel Wilson (Lurgan) produced magic on the final day to secure a bronze medal.

Maguire, Mehaffey and Wilson all produced their best rounds of the tournament on the final day as the world number one carded a final round of 69 (-3), Mehaffey with one better, a superb 68 and Wilson shooting an even par 72. Ireland, Denmark and Thailand tussled for third spot throughout the final day but a strong finish from the young Irish team secured them with a podium finish.

Maguire also produced one of the most impressive overall performances from the tournament and finished in tied 6th place on a score of 282, eight behind Hye Jin Choi (Republic of Korea).

England's Meghan MacLaren was the next leading British player behind the Irish contingent, finishing with a four day total of six over for T25. Alongside her team mates Alice Hewson and Gemma Clews, England finished down in T-17 whilst Scotland ranked T-27.
