Amelia Williamson

Twenty-three youngsters are heading to the final of the Abraham Trophy – an 18-hole national tournament at Royal Cromer in Norfolk on Sunday 26 July to find the most improved girl golfer in the country.

They’ve all qualified on the basis of handicap reduction. The field is made up of eight area winners plus the next best 12 players and ties. There are three players from the host county of Norfolk, including Amelia Williamson (Image © Leaderboard Photography) from the England Golf East region U16 squad, who will be playing on home ground at Royal Cromer.

Three of the other finalists are also members of regional squads: Ella Crang of Durham, Louisa Brunt of Lancashire and Megan Evans of Worcestershire.
